As governments continue to introduce legislation to make CTC (continuous transaction controls) and electronic invoicing and reporting mandatory, businesses of all sizes face increasing challenges to become and remain compliant in an ever-changing environment. With this in mind, Deloitte has developed an out-of-the-box SAP Integration Accelerator for e-invoicing to provide swift and efficient exchange of electronic business and fiscal documents, both for inbound and outbound flows.
As part of a longstanding collaboration, Deloitte has chosen Pagero, a provider of a Smart Business Network for automated and compliant exchange of e-invoices and other business documents, as the premier e-invoicing vendor for the launch of the Integration Accelerator. The decision to bring the company into the project was also motivated by the transparency and ease of use of the Pagero APIs, which enable easy integration, scalability, and maintenance, as well as Pagero’s dedication to offer unparalleled compliance and geographical coverage.
The solution not only accelerates the integration between ERPs and Pagero, significantly reducing implementation time and costs, but also encompasses value mapping to and from governmental standards, as well as universal format transformations within the client's own IT infrastructure using SAP Business Technology Platform® (SAP BTP). This approach enhances transparency, and facilitates a streamlined global rollout, reducing the complexities of country-specific deployments. “For businesses, and especially for their finance and tax teams, this means full access and a clearer view of the entire invoice handling lifecycle, allowing them to collect insights, safeguard data and unlock enhanced control”, explains Liesbet Nevelsteen, Partner, Tax Technology Consulting and Guy Bulteel, Senior Director, Digital Transformation, Consulting at Deloitte.
The Accelerator can also be adapted for use with other ERP systems. The Integration Accelerator enables monitoring of end-to-end statuses directly within the client’s ERP and orchestrates any necessary correction flows and return messages back to the ERP system, with an embedded process to control actions on e-documents, audit trail, status changes and error handling.
