Egypt will not accept paper invoices for VAT refund in 2022
Only e-invoices will be accepted for VAT refunds as of 1 January 2022, except for paper invoices previously issued by organizations before being obligated to use the Egyptian Tax Authority’s e-invoicing system.
The third e-invoicing phase is approaching with non-compliance leading to prosecution
Companies that are not committed to joining the electronic invoice system under the second phase's obligation will be referred to the prosecution as of mid-April 2021.
