Mexico updates guidelines for e-invoice issuance
On 18 February 2022, the Mexican tax authority, Servicio de Administración Tributaria, published a modification to the Miscellaneous Fiscal Resolution of 2022. This modification provides an extension for the use of CFDI version 3.3, which is available until 30 April 2022.
New version of Carta Porte complement becomes mandatory from 1 January 2022
In Mexico, all invoices related to transported goods must include the additional complement Carta Porte in the CFDI electronic tax document (Sp.: Comprobante Fiscal Digital por Internet, the countrywide mandatory electronic invoice).
New Mexican electronic tax document version to become mandatory on 1 May 2022
The Mexican Tax Administration, SAT, has the intention to replace the electronic tax document (CFDI, Sp.: Comprobante Fiscal Digital por Internet) version 3.3. with the CFDI 4.0.
