Dominican Republic announces new implementing regulations for the e-invoicing system

On 10 October 2024, the General Directorate of Internal Revenue (DGII) published Decree 587-24, providing further implementing regulations for the national e-invoicing system. The decree stipulates possible extension periods for taxpayers to adhere to the mandate and several technical changes to handling the electronic tax receipts.

The e-invoicing regime in the country is currently under development. Although no date for the mandate is known yet and adhering to the e-invoicing system is voluntary today, it is already possible to say which CTC model Dominican Republic is leaning towards.
